QBO is the file format QuickBooks Online reads when it brings transactions in from a bank. It carries the date, description, and amount of each line.
Will my bank’s CSV work?
Column order and header names differ from bank to bank. Transactions are read from the content of the file rather than from a fixed column order, so an unusual export still produces a table you can check before importing.
Does this create a QBO company file?
No. A .qbo here is a bank-feed import file, not a QuickBooks company backup.
Is my file kept after conversion?
No. The file is used only to produce your converted copy and is deleted right after.
Do I need an account?
